• On the 25th anniversary of September 11, trumpeter David Perkins and pianist Kristin Scioneaux perform a program of American works honoring the Semiquincentennial—Hailstork's Variations for Trumpet, Ewazen's In Memoriam, September 11, 2001, John Williams' With Malice Toward None and an arrangement of Over the Rainbow. 🎭 Mid City Civic Theatre: Dear Evan Hansen—7:30 p.m. 📍 Mid City Civic Theatre, 7155 Florida Blvd.

• The Tony Award-winning musical that sparked a national conversation about mental health, loneliness and the desire to belong comes to Baton Rouge. Mid City Civic Theatre continues its inaugural season with the story of Evan Hansen, a socially anxious teenager whose life is transformed by a tragic misunderstanding.
