🏮 Night Market BTR—4–10 p.m. 📍 In front of the Louisiana State Capitol, N. 4th Street

  • Rescheduled from May 9 due to weather, Baton Rouge's premier Asian American and Pacific Islander cultural festival is finally here—40 food vendors, 20 artists, lion-dance performances and live music.   • BREC's annual fairy-themed family festival—postponed earlier this month due to weather and now officially back. Themed zones, fairies, dragons, games, crafts and live shows. Costumes welcome. Free.

⛵ Sail 250 New Orleans: Tall Ships on the Mississippi—May 28–31 📍 New Orleans Riverfront, Goldring-Woldenberg Riverfront Park

  • As part of America's 250th anniversary celebration, New Orleans hosts the largest-ever flotilla of tall ships from around the world along the historic Mississippi River. 12 vessels, including the USCGC Eagle, Chile's Esmeralda, Argentina's ARA Libertad, Peru's BAP UniĂłn and the USS Kearsarge. Ships arrive Thursday, May 28 (8 a.m.–1 p.m.); public tours daily 8 a.m.–5 p.m. through Sunday. Fireworks Saturday at 9 p.m. Free and open to the public. No advance tickets required.
