Do your civic duty; boast about it.
Louisiana has unveiled its commissioned “I Voted” sticker for the 2026 elections, extending a tradition begun in 2016 of asking local artists to turn civic participation into miniature wearable art.
The sticker offers a modest flash of style and a socially sanctioned opportunity to boast. Worn at the office, coffeehouse or supermarket, it declares: “I have done my part to preserve the world’s greatest democracy—at least until the next election.”
Its charm lies in the contrast. Elections are serious, complicated and consequential. The reward for taking part is uncomplicated: perform your civic duty, receive a sticker.
Some incentives need not grow up.
