Carrying flavor is a public service, as Louisiana can attest.

Some travelers hold up airport security lines and turn the queue into a jury. One passenger in New Orleans, however, had a defensible excuse: Tony Chachere’s.

TSA opened his bag and found 20 containers of Louisiana’s best-known seasoning blend. The airport posted a photo to Instagram. The internet did the rest.

One commenter called the haul “Saving Iowa.”

Another demanded justice of a different sort: “TSA should lock that man up. Everyone knows @slapyamama is better.” A respectful nod to the cooks of Ville Platte, where that spice originates.

The TSA officer who handled the bag later joined the fun: “I’m the TSA Officer that had to check them all individually, I opened that suitcase and was stunned lol. But it was all laughs after.”
