At least four new restaurants will land in the parish.

Baton Rouge’s restaurant carousel keeps spinning—and, for now, it is turning eastward, with two more Asian concepts coming to the parish. A prominent Mexican chain, meanwhile, is preparing to land near Bocage and a brunch place will sell biscuits near dozens of other restaurants on Burbank.

  • Tsaocaa will open its first parish location at Acadian-Perkins Plaza. The chain draws customers with bubble tea, fried chicken and Hong Kong-style egg waffles.
  • Dumpling Hour, a Lafayette import, opened last in the former Serop’s space on Corporate Boulevard.
  • Chipotle is taking a spot in the former Rite Aid at Jefferson Highway and Corporate Boulevard, sharing the building with Hollywood Feed, a pet store. RedEye hears the restaurant will feature a drive-through “Chipotlane,” joining two others in the city and making burrito purchases more efficient.
  • Parish Biscuit, another Lafayette restaurant, is preparing to open at West Lee Drive and Burbank Drive. Its menu applies a Louisiana touch to breakfast and brunch, featuring biscuit sandwiches and sweet breakfast items.
