Senator John Kennedy is often mocked for a Southern drawl so put-on that he has been compared to Foghorn Leghorn. One mainstream news outlet even devised an online quiz, asking readers to distinguish the senator’s comments from those of the Looney Tunes character.
Still, if you are keeping score in a spreadsheet, award our senator a point for pressing Kash Patel, the FBI director, on a change to the bureau’s hiring rules that would allow people convicted of bestiality to apply for jobs.
