LSU’s Lane Kiffin has turned social media into his own kind of playbook: a little truth, a little misdirection, a lot of people wondering what is real; a valuable skill for a college football coach whose day job is fooling linebackers.

What happened: David Covucci of FOIABall appears to have found one of Kiffin’s social media dodges.

Covucci is a college football writer with a niche: He files public records requests to see how schools spend money on private jets, how they structure NIL operations and what athletic departments would rather not explain.

He is also a former internet detective, which is how we get to the important matter at hand: Lane Kiffin’s alleged workout playlist.

The details: Covucci is not saying with 100% certainty that the playlist belongs to Kiffin. But he says he found enough breadcrumbs to make the case worth following.

Among the songs:

  • “865” by Morgan Wallen
  • “I Like Me Better” by Lauv
  • “Twinkle Twinkle” by Holy Molly
  • “Close to You” by Gracie Abrams

Bottom line:  College football has given us realignment, transfer portals, NIL chaos and coaches pretending not to read their mentions. Sometimes, it also gives us a playlist.
