Hear the wisdom of the 'Sake Ninja'
BREADA's new teaching kitchen at Main Street Market launches a summer culinary series—and the first two acts are sake and wine.
Come hear the wisdom of the "Sake Ninja."
That pitch, too good to ignore, arrived in a BREADA media release announcing a new idea for the renovated Main Street Market: The Summer Culinary Series.
You know BREADA as the good people who bring you fruits and vegetables grown in the region, the folks behind the Red Stick Farmers Market and the reinvented Main Street Market. Now they have a new toy in the remade space: a teaching kitchen, where local chefs cook meals built on produce and other foods from our area of Louisiana.
Why it matters: The kitchen will anchor the new culinary series, which continues as the seasons change. By featuring market ingredients in every event, BREADA continues to support local producers while making fresh, seasonal food more accessible and more appreciated across the community. This time, you get dinner out of it.
First up—Sake & Omakase: Storytelling by sake educator Chris Johnson, known in the trade as the "Sake Ninja," alongside local chefs Thien Nguyen and Nick Bennett, paired with a five-course tasting menu.
