If you’re looking for dating advice in Baton Rouge, there are new matchmakers in town, and they run on algorithms instead of astrology.

Dating apps are adding AI features, while startups are using technology to improve the odds that your next date won’t be a complete dud, [according to Axios](https://www.axios.com/?ref=redeyebr.com).

[Iris Dating](https://www.irisdating.com/?ref=redeyebr.com) uses AI to match people who are physically attracted to each other. Users begin by selecting photos of people they find alluring.

[Joey AI](https://calljoey.ai/?ref=redeyebr.com) takes a more old-fashioned approach: It calls users, asks deep questions in an Australian accent and then connects potential matches by text.

Dating heavyweight Bumble, meanwhile, plans to introduce “Bee,” an AI agent that learns users’ values, goals and other personal details before selecting potential dates.

[Known](https://known.com/?ref=redeyebr.com) wants to kill swiping for good. Its AI agent learns who you are and picks the date for you. One catch: Known doesn't have many fish in its sea yet, so the matches don't come fast. And impatient romantics don't wait; they swim back to the old dopamine hit of swiping, where the fish are plentiful, even if a few profiles smell a little fishy.
