Lane Kiffin has returned to Instagram, not to make mischief or needle his ex, but to do something more practical: make money.

LSU’s head football coach had been absent from social media since May 10, when a challenge from his son prompted a self-imposed digital lockdown. Until then, Kiffin had been one of sport’s most indulgent social-media troublemakers.

His return came in the form of a [DoorDash promotion](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DctdhgBRWwv/?utm%5Fsource=ig%5Fweb%5Fcopy%5Flink&igsi=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==). The video trades on his bolt from Ole Miss as the team prepared for the college football playoffs. Dr Pepper has also found value in the switch to LSU. In an ad for its “Fansville” campaign, Brian Bosworth, the town sheriff, pulls Kiffin over for making an “ [illegal lane change](https://youtu.be/-EWWNDVaF6E?si=v0spAlHbdhyEUhC%5F&ref=redeyebr.com).” 

The joke is obvious. So is the moneymaking opportunity.
